A bit about Dr Kadir

Ahmed Kadir is a Paediatric Gastroenterologist. He is the clinical lead for paediatric gastroenterology at one of the renowned children’s Hospital – Bart’s and the London Children’s Hospital.

He acquired his specialist paediatric training in London. His training in paediatric gastroenterology was at Great Ormond Street Hospital, Kings College Hospital, Royal London Hospital and St. George’s University Hospital.

He gained his Masters in Gastroenterology from Queen Mary’s University of London.

Ahmed Kadir became a full time NHS Consultant Paediatric gastroenterologist in 2016. He is currently working as a Paediatric Gastroenterologist at Royal London Hospital, Bart’s Health NHS Trust. Prior to this he was a full time consultant at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.

His special interests are nutrition, paediatric inflammatory bowel disease, coeliac disease and allergic gut disease.

He is research active and has been part of international clinical trials in Inflammatory bowel disease, constipation and short gut.

He actively teaches in MSc gastroenterology and medical students at Queen Mary’s University London.
